Meet our latest RESTAURATEUR OF THE QUARTER: Vivianne Borges of Paris Bakery in Monterey + her Seaside wholesale location!
Restaurant Realty recently had the pleasure of selling Paris Bakery and Keith Simpson, our agent worked closely with Vivianne Borges, the managing partner in completing this transaction.
Vivianne grew up in France and moved to the US when she was a sophomore in high school. She worked in the bakery during her high school years washing dishes and cleaning the restrooms.
[/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column_text]In 1996 Vivianne joined the family business full time learning the wholesale end of the business, as well as immersing herself in the accounting end of the business including growing the accounts receivable part of the business. In 1998 the family opened the Seaside operation which was the wholesale part of the business and Vivianne was instrumental in expanding this part of the business. Her experience grew including doing the books, payroll, purchasing and inventory control. Additionally, she oversaw general management including scheduling, training, hiring, and firing personnel.
Although Vivianne’s father started the business and used old school methods in operating the business Vivianne transformed the business with a more modern management approach. She enjoys the customers and the day-to-day relationships she has with customers, employees, and vendors. She has a keen sense in dealing with people and knows how to capitalize on employees’ strengths. She is very organized, open minded and believes in being fair with all people she encounters.
In the next phase of her career, she will possibly do some consulting and possibly bookkeeping for others.
Vivianne shared, “I am beyond excited for my dad & me to start enjoying our families.”
